About Live2Create

We are a faith-based 501c3 nonprofit organization created to promote social and emotional wellbeing in the lives of urban youth at risk of life success using the expressive arts.

We've noticed that most teens, especially those of in the urban context struggle with their identity and want a safe space to express themselves without judgement.
They don't trust their current environment and feel lost, neglected, and uncertain of their future. As parents, educators, creatives, and allies and advocates, we understand what it's like to not have the necessary assets to become successful. That's why we've been guiding and mentoring youth towards a future they didn't realize they could have.

Through a network of industry creatives and community advocates, we partner with schools, faith-institutions, parents, and other community organizations to provide in-school-out-of-school mentoring, exposure experiences, workshops, and annual events for personal and professional development, academic enrichment, and career, college, and life readiness.

Our approach to increasing social and emotional wellbeing improves academic outcomes, personal growth, connection, and overall mental health.

Our Goals

Increase social and emotional wellbeing of under-resourced teens through the arts

Establish multiple revenue streams through memberships, workshops, and events

Help more under-resourced teens graduate from high school and reach adult success

Ethical Responsibility

(We Love God)

We strive to live out certain values and act on them. Responsibility is an ethical theory, in which individuals are accountable for fulfilling their purpose; the actions of an individual must benefit the makeup of their entire being.

Self Discovery and Expression

(We Love Ourselves)

We embody the idea that art making is, in and of itself, therapeutic and the creative process is a growth-producing experience. It's through the arts that we connect to ourselves and our creator.

Community Outreach

(We Love Others)

We believe the arts are an essential component of vibrant communities. We believe that it’s what makes us unique and should be available to all without regard to socioeconomic status.

Social Impact and Change

(We Live to Create)

We believe in investing in the leaders of tomorrow for a better future today. Awareness and more understanding of all people in society helps motivate one to take action, behave and be consistent, authentic, resilient, and confident in who they are.
